The process through which a plant must adapt in order to survive in its environment. Throughout the day, a sunflower must change its position in order to get an adequate amount of sunlight. Over time the sunflower adapted the traits which allowed it to be better fit for its environment. Therefore, a sunflower is a prime example of plant adaptation.
